The Macallan brings together stunning photography with exceptional single malt whisky to create a truly extraordinary gift this festive season.

Inspired by a commitment to exceptional oak casks, this series features The Macallan 12 Fine Oak.

Designed exclusively by The Macallan the limited edition gift box contains a whisky glass and water jug. The beautiful etched design is inspired by the oak used to craft The Macallan’s exceptional casks. This is the second in a series of three limited editions evolving over three years, making this a highly collectable gift.

With three distinct designs from pre-eminent photographer Albert Watson, the story began last year with the oak forests.

For 2017, the design has unfolded through the medium of beautiful photography, bringing to life the natural beauty and quality of the oak used to make The Macallan’s exceptional casks.

Stuart Macpherson, The Macallan’s Master of Wood commented: ‘‘At The Macallan, we take our wood very seriously and because of this, we spend considerable time sourcing, crafting, seasoning and caring for our casks. We believe that exceptional wood is a must for exceptional whisky and it’s something that we are very proud of and feel compelled to celebrate.”

The Fine Oak range introduced to South Africa in 2016 is triple cask matured in a unique combination of European oak sherry casks, American oak sherry seasoned casks and American bourbon casks. This bespoke process delivers a more diverse yet subtle style of whisky, whilst maintaining The Macallan’s core DNA which is a focus on sherry seasoned oak casks, natural colour, and rich, fruity full bodied flavour and mouth feel.

Also available this year is The Macallan limited edition gift tin which is a decorative and eye-catching keepsake for whisky enthusiasts and collectors.

These limited-edition gift packs are available from selected liquor stores and online retailers, from R599.
