Baobab and banana smoothie (Serves 1)
Baobab. It’s so healthy and has so many uses. Making desserts, smoothies, having it with yoghurt and many ways to benefit from the slow release energy ingredient loaded with vitamins – it’s so good for us. It’s grown in Limpopo but majority of us do not know it.
1 cup ice cubes
2 tsp flaxseeds
½ cup plain yogurt
1 medium banana
1 tbsp baobab powder
1–2 tsp honey (optional)
Place the ice cubes and flaxseeds in a blender and purée for 30 seconds
Add the yoghurt, banana, baobab, honey and blend until smooth.
Pour into a tall glass and serve immediately
