Celebrate Pinotage Day at Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate in Franschhoek on Saturday, 13 October, and take pride in South Africa’s home-grown grape variety with a special menu dedicated to Pinotage.

The 2-course lunch and dinner Pinotage menu stars Le Chocolat braised oxtail served with heirloom beetroot, fondant potato and crispy polenta.

For the second course, Chef Guy Bennett has selected artisanal cheeses spruced up with grape chutney, nut loaf and Pinotage poached fig. Each course will be served with a glass of Angels Tears Le Chocolat Pinotage.

Guests will also be treated to a palate cleanser between courses and petit fours for the cherry on top.

Angels Tears Le Chocolat

Angels Tears Le Chocolat Pinotage is an easy drinking, smooth medium-bodied Pinotage blessed with a heavenly twist of chocolate and generous splashes of ripe plums and red berry fruit.

The Le Chocolat Pinotage menu is available for lunch and dinner on 13 October only at R320 per person alongside the regular à la carte selection at The Restaurant at Grande Provence.
