Discover a mouth watering variety of cheeses to pair with your favourite wine at the first ever Durban Cheese and Wine Festival.

Speaking to the event organiser, Rowan Clelland, he says the festival is an experience where they are hoping people will enjoy pairing their favourite wines with their own personalised cheese platters whilst enjoying a relaxed day out with friends and family.

“Cheese and wine is such a popular, timeless pairing. With the event we wanted to create an experience for Durbanites whereby they enjoy Sunday sundowners with friends and family, accompanied by great cheese and wines without having to break the bank to travel to a wine farm”

“There will be music by top local talents throughout the day. Wines and cheese will be on sale from various stands as well as an array of artisanal pairings such as cold meats, pickles, olives etc,” says Clelland.

“There are various different wine farms who will have their wines on offer such as Laborie, Pongracz, Plaisir De Merle, Durbanville Hills, Holden Manz to name a few. To tantalise the taste buds there are a handful of cheese stalls and food vendors including the ever popular Maddisons Bakery who will be selling fresh homemade breads to pair with your cheese,” added Clelland.
