May 11 is National Slipper Day and Reach For A Dream foundation have partnered with Wimpy to raise funds and create awareness for children fighting life-threatening illnesses with the hope of changing their lives.

National Slipper Day is celebrated every year, wear people are encouraged to wear their slippers to work (or anywhere they are going to). Wimpy, which has been sponsoring the campaign for five years, will give away free coffee to those who purchase a wristband supporting the campaign for R10.

"Slipper Day’s core values and beliefs resonate with Wimpy’s family-orientated brand, one that is focused on creating memorable moments with loved ones. It is a privilege to contribute to making dreams come true,” says Luise Peters, Marketing Manager at Wimpy.

Last year, the campaign raised over R3 million by selling over 387 000 wristbands.

TV personality (and new mom) Roxy Burger, has been roped in as the ambassador for the campaign and in this Instagram shows how you can incorporate your slippers with your outfit.
