DIY Treats: Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chocolate Chip Cookies

This is a delicious treat to have at any time. Here is a simple non-whisking recipe:


• 1 Cup Caster sugar

• 2 Cups Flour (sifted)

• 1 Cup of melted Butter

• 1 tsp Vanilla Extract

• 1 tsp Baking Powder

• 1 Pinch of Salt

• 1 Egg

• 100g-200g Chocolate or Chocolate Chips

Add the sugar and melted butter in a bowl and mix together. Sift the flour, baking powder, vanilla and salt together into the sugar and butter mixture. Add the chocolate chips. Mix together using your hand. When the texture turns to dough, add the egg and knead the dough. Spread some butter onto a baking tray. Roll some of the dough into balls then flatten a little on the tray. Keep them small as the cookies spread out during baking and make sure they are spread out. Place the tray in the oven and bake at 160 degrees C for 20 minutes maximum. When the edges are a bit golden, the cookies are ready.
