CAPE TOWN - Cape Town pubs and bars are turning their establishments into drive-thru liquor stops.

Famous spots such as Foresters Arms, Jack Black Tap Room and Franschhoek Beer Company have temporarily remodeled their bars and restaurants as drive-thrus as a safer alternative reducing contact between customers and employees.

Foresters Arms Newlands, one of the oldest restaurants and bars in the country - established in 1852, offers various ways of ordering liquor and food. Orders can be placed on their website or Facebook with the option for delivery or select a time to collect with your order brought to your car.

With level 3 allowing the sale of alcohol, there are safer alternatives to purchasing your favourite alcoholic beverages with drive-thrus and many online stores selling and delivering liquor which reduces contact between people drastically and in-turn reduces the spread of the virus.

Please drink responsibly, and don’t drink and drive.
