Keep your kids learning using e-school platforms

JOHANNESBURG - The spread of Coronavirus has forced South Africa into lockdown. All activities, except those deemed to be essential services, have come to a grinding halt. Schooling is no exception.

Schools have been closed since 18 March, leaving parents to find alternative methods to continue their children's learning. Parents are understandably worried about their children falling behind. South

African cellular network provider, Vodacom has launched

Vodacom e-School

. The free e-learning platform is proving to be an invaluable resource for school going children and registrations are fast approaching 1 million.

The free e-learning was initially launched in 2014 in partnership with the Department of Education in 2014. All educational content is fully aligned with the Department of Education Curriculum (CAPS).

It is available in all 11 official languages for learners from grades R to 12. As a bonus Vodacom customers don’t pay for data or content when using Vodacom e-school. Non Vodacom customers will incur data charges when logging on.

Students learn from easy to follow video lessons developed by teachers and can do so at their own pace, with the ability to pause and rewind all lessons. Revision and interactive quizzes are provided after all lessons, to help students gauge their understanding and test their knowledge.

Students can evaluate their progress across individual subjects and earn badges and certificates for progress.
