CAPE TOWN -
Facebook owned tech company WhatsApp will soon launch the option to allow their business customers to sell goods directly through the chat.
The company’s vision is that businesses would chat as they would on a showroom floor before making the sale directly within the app.
"We also want to make it easier for businesses to integrate these features into their existing commerce and customer solutions," said WhatsApp.
"This will help many small businesses who have been most impacted in this time."

While Facebook and Instagram have seen success in the digital space with a variety of revenue streams and shopping tools, WhatsApp are yet to find a significant way to monetise their platform.
They will be charging business customers for some of the services, which will aid them in continuing to build their business while expanding their free end-to-end encrypted text, video and voice calling to their two billion users.
