Whether you are sporting a clean shave or a well trimmed beard, your face needs extra care. It is not advisable to wash your face with the same towel you use for the body and it’s also not ideal to use body lotion on your face.
When it’s time to shave, don’t just grab the razor and start getting rid of the hair.
There are certain steps you need to take in order to get the best result.
Cleansing
A hot towel is ideal for priming your face, but so is a hot shower. This helps open the pores and soften the beard, making it easier for you to cut. This not only making the cutting process easier, it also removes microscopic dead skin and cells.

Shaving
When it comes to the main shaving product: you can either use foam, cream soap or gel. If your beard is really thick, use a product that is suitable for tough hair. “This will add more lubrication, increasing glide and reducing the likelihood of your shave turning into a B-movie bloodbath”.
Aftercare
Aftercare is just as important as preparation, because shaving is hard on the skin. Also, try to avoid using alcohol-based or fragrance after-care creams, because they dehydrate the skin, which increases the chance of post-shave problems.
Remember to wash your face twice a day.
