A sweep of lipstick instantly changes a makeup look. A glossy nude says “I’m chilled” while a bright red says “I’m sassy”. During summer we tend to gravitate towards brighter colours like fuschia, orange and berry scented lipbalms and glosses.
Now that summer feels like a distant memory our mood changes somewhat as well as our choice of lipstick colour. We often go for darker colours like brown and burgundy. You can even go as far as black for an intense look. Don’t hesitate to wear nude tones though - worn with a warm smokey eye and nude lip is great for a day look.
Remember to keep your lips moisturised. The cold weather has a tendency dry our skin and lips - especially if you’re using a matte lipstick.
