With makeup artistry there's no rules however there are those makeup

Foundation colour that doesn't match your skin properly

There is nothing that grates me more then to see someone walk around with foundation applied that is visibly different to their face and neck. Yes we all want to look tanned, but not when your face doesn't match the rest of your body. Tip - Always test your foundation on the apple of your cheeks and match to your arms and not your neck as the sun doesn't naturally shine on your neck. Do check in natural lighting to ensure everything is properly matched and blended.

Loving my makeup on set of @mycaribbeantan Shoot ( @laeeqa29 you are a makeup genius, don't even get me started on your crazy good eyebrow skills!) 😍💁🏻 Thank you @toscasalon for doing curlers last minute last night for me to get this bounce 😁💃🏻

Eyeshadow that creases in the lid

I know that most of us are guilty of this. Tip - always powder your lids before applying eyeshadow to matte your lids down or use an eyeshadow primer.

Over plucked or drawn on brows

We are not in the 20's or 30's anymore. We have access to facilities and people to groom our brows. Tip - Rather grow out your brows and have them professionally shaped. This service can sometimes become expensive for some, then rather shape it professionally when you have some extra cash to spare then maintain by only plucking the growth but be careful and don't become tweezer happy.

No blush

Why? Blush really warms up the face and prevents you from looking ghost like. Tip - Some people really don't like blush then why not try a bronzer. It's more subtle. Apply it along the forehead, cheekbones and jawline for a more contoured defined look instead of looking flat and chalky.

Too much everything

So you might have spoilt yourself with some makeup shopping, this doesn't mean to say that all those products need to be on your face at the same time. Tip - Rule of thumb is: dark eye, light lip & vice versa. Less is always more.

Clumpy lashes

If your mascara is dry, throw it out. There is nothing more unattractive than a beautiful face with clumpy lashes. Tip - Mascara should not be kept longer than 3 months. To get longer use of your mascara & prevent it from drying out, do not pump your mascara before application. By doing this you are pumping air into the mascara causing it to dry out even faster. Apply your mascara & comb through with a brush to prevent clumps.
