Australian designers Alex and Trahanas have discovered a variety of fabrics from northern Italy that moisturises the skin when worn.
Sydney designers Alex Heard and Heleena Trahana have created a range of clothing that uses the moisture-infused linen that include dresses, shirts and pants.
The lifestyle label, Alex and Trahanas, headed up by Alex Heard and Heleena Trahana, recently unveiled a capsule collection - one featuring clothing made using a special type of aloe vera-blended linen.
Designers Alex and Trahanas have created clothing that moisturises the skin, but there's a catch.
However, there is one small downside to the pants - the qualities of the aloe-vera infused linen last just six to seven washes.
Gel from the aloe vera plant has been used to coat a type of Italian linen at the finishing stage of production. When the fabric comes into contact with the skin it releases its moisturising properties.
As well it's skin softening properties, the aloe vera helps the yarn in the fabric to soften, making it is less prone to creasing.
