Two SA designers to showcase at Lagos Fashion Week

With the support from the Department of Arts and Culture under the mentorship of the Fezile Mdletshe Fashion Agency, South African fashion designers, Sandile Duke Mngadi of Clothe Your Soul and Jacques van der Watt will of Black Coffee will “map the route” for South Africa on the international catwalk at the annual Lagos Fashion Week (LagosFW) in Nigeria.

These established designers will be thoroughly coached by the Fezile Mdletshe Fashion Agency, who will also mentor them into ensuring that their designs are in line with the Fashion Week’s vision of pushing a unique Pan African Design aesthetic.

“The two designers can expect a diversified and interactive platform to maximize their exposure within and beyond their industry circle and open gateways for more business opportunities.

Clothe Your Soul by Sandile Mngadi is a  brand represents that urban culture defined

as Afrofunk - a fusion of African elements and Western culture. While  Black Coffee by Jacques van der Watt has a distinctive way of blurring fabrication and fashion.

Lagos Fashion Week takes place at Lagos, Nigeria on October 24-27.
