Fruitistic collection by Mo Creations &Couture.
Day 1 of the Durban Fashion Fair proved that the future of fashion in South Africa is in the right lane.

First to showcases were DFF mentees, who all brought out innovations and creativity with their collections.

Sicelo Dlezi brought summer to life with his bright collection of lavish dresses, flared arms tops as well as stylish jumpsuits.

For the culture, Ande Gibexego showcased stylish men’s streetwear of dungarees, rompers and artistic jackets.

Sinenhlanhla Ngcobo and Khulekani Sithole also wowed the crowd with their menswear showstopper collection of all black with a touch of gold.

The ladies didn’t come to play, they slayed hard.

Power to Zambhele Ntshangase who incorporated black and gold to reveal lavish garments of multi-layered dresses, shimmering blazers as well as flared gowns and jumpsuits.

Innovative garments in nudes and floral were showcased by Nomusa Nxasana, who created unique gowns and tops with thick fringes.

Also proving the point that the “future is female” was EVE-O with a head-turner collection of pattern gowns, with black, brown and mustard being the dominating colours.

Other designers who showcased last night include, Mnotho Ngema, Aphelele Chongo, Mazadi Mukeya, Nomusa Nxasana, Mfundo Dlamini, Sinethemba Nduli, Markham, Mo Creations & Couture, Modesta as well as Clothe Your Soul.

The Durban Fashion Fair is taking place again tonight at the Durban ICC and will last until September 22.
