Judging from the latest Twitter hashtag #finepeoplefromafrica  where men across Africa shared pictures of themselves representing their countries, it is no secret that our continent indeed has beautiful people. Even though some of the best looking men came from Congo and Angola, our South African men gave tough competition.

Here are our top six male celebs who dress to thrill…

Tebogo Thekiso, aka Proverb.

6. Proverb (@proverbmusic)

Born as Tebogo Thekisho, but well known as his stage name, Proverb, Thekisho is one of a few who can wear a suit with a cap and not look like a retard. The TV host and musician seems to be in favour of smart casual. In jeans, shirt, nice shoes and not forgetting a cap, he is able to pull off a stylish look without trying too hard.

Christopher Jaftha.

5. Christopher Jaftha (@chrisjaftha)

A man of many talents, Chris Jaftha can also add “stylish” to his skills set list. TV personality and dancer, Jaftha not only looks good on set, but dressing well is part of  of life. His fashion sense is very versatile.

Nay Maps.

4. Nay Maps (@naymaps)

This actor and founder of Nay Maps Clothing, doesn’t only have beard goals but dresses well too. He has a good taste of casual wear, and of course, like a true gentleman he also knows how to be well suited in formal wear.

Tristan Du Plessis.

3. Tristan Du Plessis (@tristan_studioa)

This musician and founder of Studio A wasn't shortlisted as the top-ten GQ Best Dressed Man of the Year for nothing. As much as he's good with interior design, Du Plessis also knows how to match his clothes so well.

Maps Maponyane.

2. Maps Maponyane (@mmaponyane)

Actor and TV presenter, Maps Maponyane is well know for his fashion sense. We like his casual swag, but his formal wear looks even better. On his 28th birthday, he looked dapper in a grey (with blue squares) Frank Bespoke suit.

Mkhokozisi Makhathini.

1. Dash (@zulumakhathini)

Musician and TV personality, Mthoko Makhathini, well known as his stage name, Dash never disappoints. Also part of the GQ’s top ten best dressed men, he serves cool looks all day, everyday.

With Afro-chic trending, Dash jumped on the bandwagon and has been showing nothing but top notch looks. At the Sun Met, the first prestigious event on the SA calendar, Dash donned in an elegant Tribal Skin Clothing African print waistcoat with blue pants, and white shirt, a look that stole the show.
