Bike enthusiasts will see the Aprilia RSV4 Factory Superbike for the first time at next week's London Motorexpo at Canary Wharf - and it will be here in South Africa soon afterwards.
The first shipment of RSV4 Factory units with what Aprilia trumpets is the most powerful and revolutionary engine it has yet built - a super-compact 999cc 65° V4 - is expected in South African Aprilia showrooms within a month.
The bad news is that the first two shipments are already sold.
Also on the Aprilia stand at Canary Wharf will be the Dorsoduro and Tuono models (each already available in SA), a GT touring version of the Shiver, with screen, anti-lock brakes and optional panniers - available to order in South Africa to order - and the Mana "automatic".
Aprilia UK will be offering test rides at the show on the Mana - which it describes as a bike for everybody - so that customers can experience its semi-automatic transmission, three engine-mapping modes and superbly balanced handling.
If you're going to be in Britain, perhaps book a test ride at the Aprilia UK website.
