Steve Fischer, founder of tuning house Steve's Auto Clinic, is also a Harley-Davidson rider.

Now's he's offering servicing and modifications for Harleys, using genuine parts for anything from a straightforward oil change to electronic chip tuning, gas-flowed cylinder heads or a big-bore kit to take your bike to another performance class altogether.

The benefit of years spent perfecting tuning methods and pushing the boundaries in the quest for reliable power in cars and bakkies will now be passed down to Harley riders at SAC Engineering in Vanderbijlpark

Fischer said: "The basic mechanical principles remain the same, so you can be assured your Harley will be serviced and repaired to highest standard."

Fischer's passion for all things motorised began as a teenager working out of his parent's garage, servicing and tuning motorcycles. He progessed from there to working on and tuning Alfa Romeos and opened the first Steve's Auto Clinic branch in Vanderbijlpark in 1983.

Since then the group has grown into an automotive power house with branches around South Africa, a trucking division, an R&D Centre and an engineering facility.
