Johannesburg - In conjunction with the South African Bike Festival at Kyalami from 27-29 May, Star Motoring is giving away a Honda Elite 125cc scooter in a competition.
Valued at R21 400, which includes a two-year warranty, the Elite 125 is a nippy city commuter with a V-Matic auto transmission which means there are no gearchanges to worry about – just twist the throttle and go. It also has convenient electric start, backed up by a kickstarter.
Quick errands are the Elite 125’s speciality, thanks to a generous under-seat storage area big enough for a full-face helmet and more. It uses about 2.5 litres of petrol per 100km which gives it a range of more than 200km from its 5.5 litre tank.
Thanks to a combined braking system linking the front disc and rear drum brakes, the Elite 125 automatically distributes the application of brake force between front and back wheel, for shorter and safer stopping.
