German tuner Väth has unleashed what could become known as the Goldilocks of the new Mercedes-Benz CLA range.
Not only is it quite a looker, but it neatly plugs a gap in the range for those who find the CLA 250 too tame and the A 45 too outrageous and expensive.
The Väth V25 is the result of some useful engine tinkering, which pushes the outputs of the CLA 250's 2-litre turbopetrol from 155kW/350Nm to 195kW and 420Nm.
To achieve this, Väth fine tuned the engine electronics and installed a bespoke air filter system and sports exhaust. The package will set European customers back by 4950 euro (R66 500).
The modifications, according to the tuner, allow the little bombshell to sprint to 100km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
