Now the little tyke is being followed up at the Tokyo Motor Show with another new showcar that translates its basic design cues into a sporty coupé format.
We’re not convinced that the overall effect is as harmonious, but the Sports EV Concept that you see here would certainly make a welcome and exciting addition to Honda’s forthcoming electric vehicle family.
Honda has not revealed much info on the new Sports EV Concept, simply stating that it “combines EV performance and AI (artificial intelligence) inside a compact body with the aim to realise the joy of driving the user can feel with a sense of unity with the car.”
Although there is no word on a possible production version, Honda has previously stated that its Urban EV Concept will spawn a production model that will go on sale in Europe and Japan by 2020.
It’s certainly plausible, then, that a sleek two door version like this concept could piggyback on Honda's new electric vehicle architecture and debut some time early in the next decade.
