Johannesburg - South Africa’s favourite half-ton bakkie, the locally-produced Nissan NP200, has been refreshed with new materials and equipment designed to make the cabin more appealing.
The updates will further strengthen NP200’s position as the best-selling small pickup following its recent category win in the Ipsos Quality Awards for the fourth year running, accolades for the 1.5 dCi turbodiesel model as the most fuel efficient bakkie on the market and recognition in the Kinsey Report for class-leading low running costs.
The refreshed interior features new upholstery with a more luxurious feel.
All mid and high-grade models also receive a new audio system that offers not only radio, CD and MP3 options, but also a USB port, audio jack and Bluetooth functionality.
As a further improvement, Nissan has redesigned the controls for the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system.
No pictures of the revised interior have been released as yet.
