Tokyo - Suzuki’s e-Survivor concept has a design that would melt the heart of even the most hardened Jimny fan, and yet there’s nothing soft about its offroad capabilities.
The concept is set to debut at the upcoming Tokyo Motor Show, and we only have a single picture and limited information to work from for now, but it does appear to mate the rugged nature of a traditional 4x4 with the demands of an electrified future.
According to Suzuki it offers new possibilities for an electric four-wheel-drive system, while retaining traditional a ladder frame architecture.
Its endearing design looks like a futuristic cross between a Jimny and a beach buggy, offering good views of the surrounding countryside thanks to the open roof design and transparent doors.
It’s very unlikely that Suzuki will ever build something like this, but distinctly possible that some of its design cues could influence some of the brand’s future SUVs.
