Phoenix, Arizona - Some of the finest (and most expensive) television commercials ever flighted are those made to be shown during the climax of the US National Football League season, the annual Super Bowl championship game, on the first Sunday in February each year.

And, since football is perceived as a 'guy thing' - as are most things with wheels on them - it follows that a large percentage of those commercials are for car companies.

As is this one for the new Lexus RC Coupé. The difference is that this commercial doesn't feature a full-size car, but a radio-controlled scale model, an R/C RC - geddit?

This astonishing two minutes of footage was shot by Japanese radio-control specialist and videographer Drift44. Some of the things he can do with a remote-controlled model defy belief, and the sheer precision required for these shots would do credit to a full-scale expert such as Ken Block - although we don't think even he could pull off the match-lighting trick.
