Johannesburg - The Freedom Front Plus (FF Plus) on Thursday called for pro-active action in Muldersdrift after a 15-year-old girl was shot in her home.
FF Plus leader Gauteng Jaco Mulder said his party wished the "wishes the young victim", who was shot several times on Tuesday night, "a speedy recovery".
The house where the attack took place is located on a farm. "The FF Plus calls on the community of Muldersdrift to engage pro-actively with crime prevention activities in their area," said Mulder in a statement.
FF Plus leader said violent crime has been a problem for several years. He said the police were are not able to protect the whole community.
He said the police did not have an "effective criminal intelligence capability" to prevent crime in Muldersdrift.
