Abuja - Nigerian President Umaru Yar'Adua will set off on Wednesday to join a summit of G8 leaders in Italy, his spokesperson Olusegun Adeniyi said on Monday.
"The president has accepted the invitation to attend the G8 meeting. He will leave on Wednesday and return to Nigeria on Saturday," Adeniyi told AFP.
It will be the third time Yar'Adua has attended a G8 summit since he came to power in May 2007. - Sapa-AFP
