Durban - The police must arrest the killers of SA Democratic Teachers' Union (Sadtu) leader Nathi Zondi, the SACP said on Friday.

“The (SA Communist Party) is once again calling for police to leave no stone unturned in their search for Zondi's killers,” said KwaZulu-Natal provincial secretary Themba Mthembu.

Zondi was shot dead at his house in Umlazi, near Durban, on Thursday morning.

He was the chairman of Sadtu in the Mbuso Shabalala region and the principal of Nyonemhlophe High School.

Mthembu said matric results at the school had markedly improved during Zondi's tenure. - Sapa
