KwaNobuhle - A police constable accused of raping a woman in a police station's holding cells has been granted bail by the KwaNobuhle Magistrate's Court, Eastern Cape police said on Wednesday.
Brigadier Marinda Mills said the 39-year-old constable was granted bail of R2000 during a court appearance on Tuesday.
The matter was postponed to March 4 for further investigation.
He allegedly raped the woman on February 3, at the KwaNobuhle police station holding cells, near Uitenhage.
