Lichtenburg - A legal professional appeared in the Lichtenburg Magistrate's Court on Friday in connection with an international child pornography syndicate, police said.
The case was postponed until April 4 for trial, Lt-Gen Solomon Makgale said.
The 54-year-old man was charged with violating the Films and Publications Act. He is one of six men arrested in four provinces for alleged involvement with the syndicate.
They include a primary school principal, who has since been fired, and a Potchefstroom businessman.
The syndicate was uncovered by an organisation based in Canada. The South Africans were arrested following a year-long probe by Interpol and the police's cyber crimes unit.
It was not yet known if South African children were used in the making of the pornography.
