Police opened fire on a building on Hardie farm in Sutherland just before noon today after spending nearly a week searching for a French couple accused of murdering a police officer and wounding another.
It was not immediately clear what had happened on the farm today, but a police officer at the scene told the Cape Argus that the couple had been shot dead. - Cape Argus
