Four men arrested in connection with the murder of gay club owner Bruno Bronn are to appear in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Monday.

Bronn, 50, who owned the Bronx nightclub, was found dead by his domestic worker shortly before 9am on Tuesday.

He was found on his back on the floor with his hands tied with tape in front of him. He had marks around his neck. It was not known whether anything was taken from the house on Ocean View drive.

On Saturday morning, two men were charged with Bronn’s murder, Western Cape police said.

Warrant Officer November Filander said a 36-year-old man was arrested around 10am on Saturday in Bo-Kaap, Cape Town.

A second man, 29, from Salt River was questioned for his role and also arrested, he said.

Late on Saturday, a 35-year-old man was nabbed in Albow Gardens, Brooklyn.

Bronn’s stolen BMW stolen was then traced to a complex in Parklands, Milnerton, said Filander.

On Sunday, a man was arrested in Goodwood around 10.30am in a joint operation between police and the metro police's substance abuse unit.

The man's car was also seized as police suspected it was used to help commit the crime, he said.

Filander said the four would initially be charged with murder, but that other charges could be added as investigations continued.

No further details were available as the investigation was at a sensitive stage, he said. - Sapa
