Middelburg - A 35-year-old man was sentenced to 12 years in jail for murder by the Middelburg Circuit Court on Friday, Mpumalanga police said.
Phillemon Ramatsikiso stabbed a woman 36 times on May 9, 2010, at Nazareth in Middelburg, Colonel Leonard Hlathi said.
“The trail of evidence through witnesses revealed that Ramatsikiso and the victim were dropped off at his place of residence by their friends. The following morning, the body of the victim was found abandoned near a graveyard with 36 stab wounds.”
Ramatsikiso was arrested on May 27, 2010 and confessed to the crime.
Sapa
