Kimberley - A man has been arrested for allegedly raping a six-year-old girl in Lerato Park near Roodepan, Northern Cape police said on Sunday.
The 20-year-old man was arrested on Saturday for allegedly raping the child inside a toilet in a shebeen, said Lieutenant Olebogeng Tawana.
“It is alleged that the suspect grabbed the toddler and dragged her into the shebeen's toilet and raped her,” said Tawana.
One of the patrons caught the man raping the child and reported him to police.
He would appear in the Kimberley Magistrate's Court on Monday. - Sapa
