Mutilated body found dumped in street

Johannesburg - Police have launched an “intensive investigation” following a gruesome discovery of a mutilated body for a 40-year-old man, dumped in a street at Tsakani Trust in Mariti, near Hazyview.

Police said they were alerted on Wednesday morning by community members that there was a the body in the street.

When police arrived at the scene, which is not far from the murdered man’s house, they inspected the body and found that his genital organs, lips and nose had been removed.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the man was killed inside his house before being dragged and dumped in the street.

No one arrested with regard to this incident and police are investigating a case of murder.

Police are appealing to any person who may assist with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect.
