Johannesburg - A Germiston woman appeared in the Germiston Magistrate's Court on Friday for allegedly cultivating and dealing in dagga, the Hawks said.

Donee Kathleen Schmidt, 51, was arrested on Thursday night after a dagga laboratory was found in her home, Hawks spokesman Captain Paul Ramaloko said.

The police allegedly found 120 dagga plants and processed dagga oil on her premises. The value was not known.

Schmidt was released on bail of R500 and the case was postponed to January 7.
