Hospital manager on sexual assault charges

 Cape Town - A man in his late fifties, attached to the management of a hospital in Panorama, appeared in a court in Cape Town on Thursday, charged with sexual assault.

Because the charge is of a sexual nature, he may not be identified until his trial commences in January next year.

He appeared in the Bellville District Court, before magistrate Clive Linden, who scheduled his trial date for January 27.

Hospital staffer sex assault case: Mediclinic responds

According to the charge sheet, he was arrested on March 22, on a charge of crimen injuria.

By the time he made his fifth appearance on Thursday, the charge had been changed from crimen injuria to sexual assault.
