Prominent Bafana Bafana supporter Saddam Maake has called on all South African men to support the team by abstaining from sex on Friday night - the eve of their vital clash against Slovenia.
The entire nation should be behind the team, Maake said at his Tembisa home on Gauteng's East Rand on Wednesday.
"We must support the team 120 percent because they are representing our nation," he said.
He said men should hold camps on the eve of the game and watch videos, have braais and chat about the team.
"We need to be alone so that our focuses are not disturbed. If we get united in one spirit then our prayers will reach Korea and Japan," Maake said.
"By abstaining from sex we make sure that nothing gets between us and the desire for Bafana to succeed. The World Cup comes once in every four years."
The 46-year-old die-hard Kaizer Chiefs fan has been a strong football follower since 1967.
"It does not matter whether you support which team in the local league. When it is Bafana playing we must all embrace them with love," he said.
"Everyone must wear a soccer jersey to show loyalty to our ambassadors, not only in Gauteng, but all over the country," he said. - Sapa
