Durban - Four members of the KwaZulu-Natal cabinet have been given the chop in a sweeping reshuffle announced on Monday morning.
Premier Willies Mchunu unveiled the new political heads of the Departments of Art and Culture, Economic Development, Education and Agriculture departments.
Mxolisi Kaunda becomes the new Transport MEC, a portfolio formerly held by Mchunu, appointed premier last month.
KZN ANC chairman, Sihle Zikalala, is now Economic Development MEC, taking over from Mike Mabuyakhulu.
Bongi Sithole-Moloi is in charge of Arts and Culture, replacing Ntombikayise Sibhidla-Saphetha and Mthandeni Dlungwana is the new Education MEC, replacing Peggy Nkonyeni.
The new provincial Agriculture MEC is Themba Mthembu, who replaces Cyril Xaba.
