Minority Front leader Amichand Rajbansi has leapt to the defence of the party's Durban Unicity caucus head, Visvin Reddy, who has been accused of attempted bribery.
Rajbansi said he is convinced Reddy is not guilty of attempted bribery allegations levelled against him by two hotels.
Reddy is chairman of the council's Tenders and Contracts Committee and a member of the influential Executive Committee.
He is the subject of a council investigation into charges that he and a council staff member tried to solicit free weekends from the hotels in return for booking a workshop with them. - Daily News Reporter
