Western Cape premier Ebrahim Rasool praised provincial ANC chairperson James Ngculu for initiating unity in the ANC in the Western Cape, SABC radio news reported on Sunday.
Rasool and Ngculu were sharing a public platform for the first time since 2005 at a community hall in Gordon's Bay on Sunday.
SABC said Rasool referred to the ANC as bigger than any individual, including the premier.
Rasool was ousted as provincial chairperson by Ngculu two years ago in a move widely seen as connected to the ANC's succession debate, said the SABC. - Sapa
