Durban - Six people were injured when four cars collided on Sydenham Hill before Cowey Road in Berea, Durban on Friday night, paramedics said.

"Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find the entire roadway obstructed," Rescue Care spokesman Garrith Jamieson said.

"Four vehicles had collided before one overturned, coming to rest on its side. A total of six people had sustained various injuries and were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required. The roadway was closed by metro police while emergency personal worked to clear the scene."

 

At this stage, the exact cause of the collision was unknown, but police were investigating, Jamieson said.
