Are Sexpo ads too steamy?

The Sexpo's billboard advertisement featuring a female pair of legs with underwear being removed has been recalled by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).

Sexpo organiser Silas Howarth said previous Sexpo campaigns had also come under scrutiny, yet this time the ASA had decided that the campaign was too risque, according to Sapa.

"I am surprised by the ASA ruling. We believe that this is our most tasteful campaign yet," Howarth said.

Howarth reportedly said that the campaign was in light of a recent sex survey that showed the majority of South Africans were naughty at heart.
