Butterworth - A hitch-hiker was arrested in Arcadia on Tuesday after being allegedly found in possession of mandrax tablets, East London police said.
Police, acting on a tip-off about a drug dealer on Recreation Road, took the 45-year-old man who was hitch-hiking from East London to Butterworth into custody, Captain Stephen Marais said.
Marais said 80 mandrax tablets, with a street value of R4800, were found in his possession.
He would appear in the East London Magistrate's Court on Wednesday on charges of dealing in drugs and possession of drugs. - Sapa
