Johannesburg - The National Zoological Gardens of South Africa (NZG) in Pretoria said on Friday that they will be offering free entrance to the zoo, Aquarium as well as the reptile parks for senior citizens for one day next week.

"Few things in life are free, but the National Zoological Gardens of South Africa offers four free days for senior citizens throughout the year; and 2017 has been no different," the NZG said in a statement.

"Our golden oldies can enjoy free entrance to our zoo, aquarium and reptile park on Tuesday, 7 November 2017 from 08:30."

NZG said that the day’s activities would begin with complimentary tea, coffee and cake at the Zoo’s Flamingo Restaurant from 09h00 (first-come-first-served).

"A special meal will also be prepared by our restaurant for the day. Bookings for this meal are essential. For further information and bookings, please call 012-339 2700."
