Pretoria -
Makaziwe Mandela arrived at the Medi-Clinic Heart Hospital in Pretoria on Wednesday to visit her ailing father, former president Nelson Mandela.
She drove into the facility around 10.30am.
A short while earlier, Mandela's wife Graca Machel was seen leaving the hospital.
Security at the facility remained tight with officers searching all vehicles entering the premises, except those of the Mandela family and military vehicles.
Wednesday is Mandela's 61st day in hospital.
He was admitted on June 8 with a recurring lung infection.
The presidency last reported that he was in a critical but stable condition.
Senior church leaders were also expected to visit later on Wednesday, Kairos Southern Africa said.
General secretary Edwin Arrison said the group would arrive at the hospital at 4pm. - Sapa
