Post your wishes to Mandela

News of former president Nelson Mandela’s hospitalisation on Wednesday lit up Facebook and Twitter as South Africans wished him a speedy recovery.

A message on Facebook from Prince Mallane Lesuphi said: “Get well tata Madiba… Just live to see the ANC turn 100. Only then you can take a well deserved break and sit next to the Almighty because that is where your seat is waiting for you. Long live TaTa!”

GugsM wrote: “If I’m ever sick, take me to Milpark hospital… Mandela there.”

From Prosportlnt, there was a short message: “Wish you well Mr Nelson”, while Ayanda Yawa posted the following: “Amandla - may God keep on giving u tata a long life.”

Another message from someone who styled himself Rodney R Mavutani Nkuna, read: “Tata we wish u all de best; get well soon.”

Nokuthula Dlamini said: “Don’t worry guys, it’s routine check up. God bless.”

And from Trevor Khanyile: “He has lived a full life. We all have been beneficiaries of his toil. I wish his family took him to 1 Military Hospital to control possible rumours.”

Many Facebookers and some tweeters seemed to be angry with the media, accusing them of distorting the story. - Pretoria News
