Durban - Thirteen people were injured when a minibus taxi and a car collided on the corner of Old Main and Stapleton roads in Pinetown, Durban on Saturday morning, paramedics said.

 

Just after 7am Rescue Care paramedics arrived on the scene to find the two vehicles in the intersection, Rescue Care spokesman Garrith Jamieson said.

"A total of 13 people had sustained various injuries. More ambulances were called to assist with the multiple patients that were on the scene. Once more ambulances had arrived all the injured were stabilised on the scene before being transported to various Durban hospitals for the further care that they required."

 

The cause of the collision was not yet known, he said.
