Shongweni, KwaZulu-Natal -
A young woman bitten by a snake, believed to be a puff adder, while walking along a nature trail at Shongweni, outside Durban, on Sunday was in a stable condition, paramedics said.
ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks said paramedics treated her before she was taken to Hillcrest private hospital where she was reported to be “absolutely fine”.
Banks said she had been walking with friends in the Giba Gorge area when the serpent struck her through her shoe. - Sapa
