Rustenburg - Five people were killed in a head-on collision in Polokwane on Monday, paramedics said.
Netcare 911 spokesperson Tebogo Magoro said paramedics responded to a head-on collision 40 kilometres away from Botlokwa, Polokwane, at 3 pm.
"Two vehicles carrying six passengers in total collided head-on. three adult females, a baby boy and an adult male driver travelling together collided with another adult female driver.
"Five of the passengers were declared dead at the scene and only the male driver with fatal injuries was transported by helicopter to the hospital," he said.
