The trial against three men accused of poaching rhinos in the Kruger National Park (KNP) was postponed in the Phalaborwa Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, Sanparks said.

The Mozambican nationals, Million Chauke, Juga Chauke and Raul Shirindza, were remanded in custody and would re-appear on March 15, spokesman William Mabasa said.

At an earlier appearance, they were denied bail.

Several witnesses testified in court on Tuesday and earlier converged outside the courthouse in ranger uniforms.

The trio were arrested in the KNP in 2009 after a rhino horn and a hunting rifle were found in their possession. -
